The custom of carving and giving Welsh Lovespoons originated in Wales hundreds of years ago.

Originally they were carved by young men and offered to the girl he loved as a token of affection. Today, as well as being a token of affection they can also be as a memento from a visit to Wales.

Lovespoons are still given for anniversaries, weddings, engagements, births, christenings,birthdays and St.Valentine's Day in Wales.
